Manage session approvals

The approval flow makes the member, resource, duration, and policy of a session visible before it starts.

Prerequisites

A role that can view the member and assignment and decide session requests is required.

Review a request

1. Open pending session requests.
2. Verify the member, resource, and requested duration.
3. Confirm the assignment and session policy support the request.

Decide

• Approve a valid request and set the allowed duration.
• Extend the approval window when more time is needed; do not add a new resource scope.
• Deny an unsuitable request.

After the decision, check the active session and closure record. See session policies for general boundaries.

Result

An approved request can start within the allowed duration; a denied request cannot start a new session.
